18-year-old Peter Brant II may already be fashion royalty and a billionaire in the making--but at the end of the day he still has to answer to his parents: Peter Brant and Stephanie Seymour, who were not exactly amused by their son's 'contingency plan' to 'Kill Obama haha.'
Speaking through a spokesperson, Peter Brant Sr. sent the following statement to The Cut:
Stephanie and I are deeply troubled and upset by our son Peter's posts on Instagram and Twitter after the election. Even though his intentions were in jest, he is responsible for his written words and should have been more careful about how his comments may have been construed. The comments that were made are not politically or morally representative of our family or our values. Each member of our entire family believes that Peter should have serious consequences for embarrassing himself and his family and we plan on implementing these. We all love Peter very much and recognize who he is as an individual but we won't tolerate this kind of behavior toward others. We hope that he learns from this serious mistake, matures, and goes on to make himself and his family proud.
And in the Brant family, severe punishment includes losing your Twitter account.
Shortly after that statement was sent the @HarryPeterBrant Twitter was changed to @BrantHarry, to represent only little bro Harry.
"Just so you guys know I did not agree with Peter in any way shape or form and we are two totally different people!" Harry wrote to us in an email. "And I think Obama is really, for lack of better words, groovy."
Needless to say, we look forward to Harry's continued tweets on our groovy president and why "Hill-Dog" should run in 2016.
