Donald Trump is taking his rumor-based campaign to get Vogue EIC Anna Wintour an ambassador job to primetime.
After starting small with a tweet last week, he decided to get his message out to a wider audience--on a network that generally bashes Wintour more than it promotes her: Fox News.
We don't think we've heard anyone gush this much about Anna Wintour, ever.
On Monday, after Trump weighed in on the Ground Zero Mosque and the "fiscal cliff," the Fox & Friends guys brought up the rumor that Obama might be considering Wintour for an ambassador position to the UK or France, which host Gretchen Carlson called a "favor." The Donald was quick to set her straight.
"I don't view it as a favor," he began. "I think this is a favor to the country. She's a very capable person, a very good friend of my wife Malania and mine, but a very, very fine person and she's tough and she's smart and she gets it."
He went on to say, "She would do things that nobody else could do in this position," reassuring us that "this has nothing to do with the fact that I like her."
The curly-haired Fox & Friends host's response? "She dresses nice."
