The British Fashion Council just released the London fashion week schedule for the fall 2013 shows this February, and there's an exciting name back on it: Tom Ford!
Since Tom Ford launched his eponymous womenswear line back in September 2010, his presentations have been private, closed affairs--with strict no-picture policies. Weathering some mixed critical reactions along the way, Ford's since come back to critical acclaim with his last few collections--like the one that gave us the famous white caped dress Gwyneth Paltrow wore to the Oscars.
So is Ford really going to stage a proper runway show at LFW? He's currently scheduled to show at 7pm on February 18. Vogue UK is calling it "another private viewing." We've reached out to Tom Ford's PR team for more details and will update when we hear back.
After that first show at his Madison Avenue menswear store (where close celeb pals like Julianne Moore and Beyoncé walked), Ford decamped to London, where he's been showing his collections privately to small groups of editors and critics. (Online outlets are still not welcome. Sadface.)
We're a little surprised if Ford is actually taking on a big runway production. After all, he's a new dad and probably sleep deprived. Regardless, it will no doubt be one of the most buzzed about shows at LFW whether it's top secret or not.
