Everyone has been noticing and commenting on how much the Obama girls have grown up and matured in the last four years. While they look like a blend of their parents, their style inspiration clearly comes from one source: their mom, Michelle.
We suspected that now that the girls are older, designers would be clamoring to dress them , and sure enough, the press releases are rolling in. And the girls are wearing many of the same labels as their mom.
Malia wore a J.Crew coat to the Inauguration, a label the FLOTUS wore herself today and has worn many times before. Tracy Reese has also been basking in the glow of Obama endorsement lately. The First Lady wore a Tracy Reese dress to deliver her DNC speech, and younger daughter Sasha wore a plum-colored lace dress from Reese's lower priced line Plenty made exclusively for Anthropologie to yesterday's official swearing-in ceremony at the private inauguration.
The girls' styling is similar to MObama's, too. They go for cinched waists, bold colors, and flared skirts. And obviously it's all done in an age appropriate way.
Can you blame these girls for wanting to look just like their mom? We can't either.
