Talk about Kate-ering to a specific audience.
Issa, the Brazilian-by-way-of-Britain brand that created Kate Middleton's sell-out (and knocked off) Royal engagement announcement dress, has recently released the latest addition to its growing family of wrap dresses: A maternity version!
Retailing for £522 (≈$823) at mummy-to-be site Blossom Mother & Child, the indigo silk dress is a bit pricier than its original inspiration--which, according to The Telegraph, rang in at a more affordable £385 (≈$607). Must be all that extra belly fabric, eh?
It's understandable that the brand would want to continue capitalizing on its past success with the then soon-to-be Duchess of Cambridge's dress. But are there still women out there obsessed with copying K-Mid's three-year-old style, along with her fertility cycle? We'd venture to say probably. And that Issa may have another sell-out on its hands.
