No one packs as much attitude into a ten-minute runway show as Michelle Ochs and Carlie Cushnie. I felt like the models wanted to kill me.
Such attitude is needed to carry off Cushnie et Ochs' patented brand of empowered, bad-ass sex appeal. Sure, one could accuse the CFDA darlings of repetitiveness, but, if it ain't broke...
Their signature form-fitting dresses, ultra-sleek, unfussy silhouettes, and sexy-but-not-slutty cut outs were all there. While most of the collection was, as usual, solids (white, black, dark green and grey), there was a small section of satin pieces in a green woods print that was super pretty and uncharacteristically delicate.
A range of luxurious fabrics like stretched leather, kangaroo calfskin and SAGA fox fur also kept things interesting and reminded us that Cushnie's girl has expensive taste.
She also needs to try a new hairdo. That slicked back thing is getting a little tired.
