Fashion shows have many purposes--allowing designers to get their wares out there, giving street style stars a reason to walk around Lincoln Center, and shaping beauty trends. Sometimes we are actually so mesmerized by the beauty looks that we forget to look at the clothes.
The recent runways--spring, couture, and now fall--have provided us with a ton of inspiration, particularly in the fantasy hair style department. They're so..dare we say...romantic! (We know, we know.)
Perhaps in an antidote to the more outlandish “look at me” aesthetic that has permeated fashion runways the past few seasons (see: dip dyed hair, ombré, complicated braiding and topknots), celeb hair this past awards season was largely unaffected and unfussy, with stars sticking to simple hairstyles and less ornamentation. A return to ease only means that impeccable styling, the right hair care, and a good haircut are all the more important.
Every week we bring you our picks for best dressed celebs, but let's take some time to focus on what's been happening above the shoulders on spring's latest red carpets.
