If I had to predict this spring/summer's biggest shoe trend, I'd say it's the minimalist sandal with a single basic strap across the front and an ankle strap. I bought a slightly more formal version of this silhouette from Zara last year--they're plastic, have a peach lucite heel, and are possibly the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever owned (but so cute).
Ever since, I've been looking for something that's the same concept, but a little different and more comfortable and practical. Lo, this canvas wedge sandal by Cheap Monday. I actually bought them a couple of weeks ago while it was still very much winter, which means I really liked them. They look great on my feet, are super comfortable and easy to walk in, and they're black canvas, so they'll go with everything and won't get fucked up easily. Now if only the weather would catch up with the calendar so I could actually wear them.
You can get 'em here.
