Thanks to hi-res photography and Jon Hamm's reported penchant for going commando, the Internet has collectively been able to zoom in and gasp, awestruck at the Mad Men star's impressive bulge.
Only apparently that bulge has become a "distracting" problem on set.
The New York Daily News's gossip column "Confidential" is reporting that AMC has asked Hamm to wear underwear in an attempt to rein that thing in.
Per a source: "This season takes place in the 1960s, where the pants are very tight and leave little to the imagination. Jon’s impressive anatomy is so distracting that they politely insisted on underwear."
As Gawker's Caity Weaver points out, the whole thing takes place in the '60s, so theoretically, this has always been a problem. Indeed, the aforementioned "source" said that Hamm's penis had to be Photoshopped out in various promotional materials for earlier seasons. Or maybe, as the show heads towards the '70s, when pants got tighter at the crotch and belled at the bottom, it's become a... bigger problem.
Either way, this story is pretty awesome. Who's ready for season six to start?
