Karl Lagerfeld to Direct New Film Starring Keira Knightley as Coco Chanel

Four-year-old Chanel model Hudson Kroenig will be in it too.

How do you think Karl Lagerfeld yells "cut"? He's putting on his director hat for his next project, a film celebrating the 100th anniversary of Chanel's first boutique.

The A-list cast includes Keira Knightley, currently the face of the Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, as Coco Chanel herself, as well as other Kaiser faves like Stella Tennant, Tallulah Harlech, Brad Kroenig, and, most importantly, Kroenig's son Hudson as "a nephew," according to WWD.

The film, which the designer will shoot this week, is set in the French beachside town of Deauville, and Lagerfeld is recreating the town in "detailed retro sets." We're sure it will be subtle, as all things Lagerfeld and Chanel tend to be.

The film will be screened at the brand's upcoming cruise show in Singapore this May, and will undoubtedly go viral shortly thereafter.
