Abbey Lee Kershaw Strips Down for Gun Control at Met Gala After Party

If Abbey Lee Kershaw looked extra serious and withdrawn on the Met Gala red carpet Monday night (check her out below), most likely it was because she was busy calculating the exact appropriate moment of the evening to do THIS!

'This' being, at some point during an after party, when Anna Wintour was presumably tucked away all snug in her bed and things were getting just the slightest bit sloppy, Kershaw--rat tail, bindi, and all--lifted her custom Rag & Bone slipdress way, way up to reveal some little black panties and this message written on her abs: GUN CONTROL.

In the spirit of the event, the whole thing would've been a bit more punk if Kershaw had taken off her entire dress and scribbled her plea with a Sharpie right then and there, while Nicholas Hoult pantomimed off in the other direction "Oh my god oh my god please tell me Jen Lawrence isn't around"--however, several photos of the Aussie model pre-Met show her sporting a carefully traced outline that, let's face it, was probably drawn on by a professional tattoo artist with a magic marker.

But kudos to Kershaw either way. If there's an ideal way to convey your political sentiments to the world, it's by abruptly stripping down at an event for excessively wealthy fashion people. There may be a next-generation Vivienne Westwood among us yet--and we're sure President Obama hears her loud and clear.
