While we'll have to wait until the fall to crack open Alexa Chung's new book (don't call it a "style bible"), the TV presenter/fashion darling gave the world a sneak peek this morning at what to expect--at least from the outside of it.
Chung tweeted earlier today: "Do judge a book by It's cover" with a photo of her first-ever book cover. It's a tasteful pale pink with a small picture of what we're going to assume is Chung's eye, fetchingly done up in metallic eyeshadow.
It is obviously a tongue-in-cheek reference to the fact that everyone who refers to Chung calls her a perennial It-girl. It's also very good for punning, as Chung so aptly demonstrated in her tweet. (We have one concern about the title, though. Does she know that Stephen King wrote a book about a horrifying clown called It? See below. Don't accidentally order that one instead.)
The book will be available on September 5 in the UK, but we'll have to wait a bit longer here in the US. It's currently available at Amazon for pre-order with a release date of October 29. Here's what you can expect, according to a description on the site:
A wholly unique collection of Chung’s personal writings, drawings, and photographs, It covers everything from her candid thoughts on life, love, and music to her favorite ensembles and how to decide what to wear in the morning. With Chung’s characteristic wit, charm, and refreshingly down-to-earth attitude, this full-color compendium is a must-have for anyone who loves fashion, music, and just about everything Alexa Chung.
Will you read it It?
