Crop tops have been in for spring and summer for the last several seasons--of this, we are certain. One thing we aren't as sold on? The shrunken shirt look on men, a trend that's been (forgive us) cropping up all over the London Men's Fashion Week runway. Yep--over the last few days, no fewer than three designers--J.W. Anderson, Astrid Andersen, and Sibling--have sent male models down the catwalk wearing varying degrees of crop tops. (Andersen has been outfitting men in crop tops for some time.)
Some look like fancy paper bags decorated with bows, while others more closely resemble shrugs (remember those? Ew.)--but they all leave little to the imagination. There are bellybuttons. There are v-lines. There's baby oil. There are nipples--which, being man-nipples, theoretically shouldn't make us feel as icky as they do--but alas: For what may be a first in our decidedly conversational lives, we're at a loss for words.
So we turn to you, fair readers: Would you be up for seeing men who aren't Henry Cavill showing off their paunches publicly in a tiny crop top? And maybe more importantly/alarmingly--could belly button piercings for men be next??
