A First Look at Eva Chen's Lucky Makeover

Featuring Blake Lively, Lucky's September cover gives us an idea of the changes new EIC Eva Chen has brought to the glossy.

When Eva Chen was named the new editor in chief of Lucky magazine, it was announced that her first official issue would be the important September tome.

Well, it hit select newsstands here in New York City a bit early, and now we've got an official image of Chen's first cover.

Featuring Blake Lively, the cover gives us an idea of the changes Chen has brought to the glossy. It's a different cover style than we're used to seeing with Lucky--more editorial looking than its standard colored backdrop covers of the past (which, we must say, we're really loving). It certainly seems more "aspirational," which is the direction Anna Wintour reportedly wanted to take the mag when she gave former editor in chief Brandon Holley the boot. Lively is also a coup of a cover star for Lucky--a get that can be chalked up to Wintour and Chen's influence as well.

The issue officially hits stands August 6; we're excited to see what else Chen has changed with Lucky.
