Title: Assistant Stylist/Merchandising Coordinator
Department: Just Fabulous – Fashion Department
Reports to: In House Stylist & Junior Stylist
Just Fab is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented assistant fashion stylist and merchandising coordinator that is quick on their feet and five steps ahead of the game. Needs to be self-motivated and is a quick learner. This is a rare opportunity to help a multi-million dollar company build an up-and-coming fashion brand with unlimited growth potential.
Merchandising Coordinator • Attends all pre-production meetings involving shoots • Works closely with styling dept, the merchandising dept and art director to make sure they are on the same page about which products need to be shot. • Have all merchandise ordered and gathered at JF ahead of shoot./fittings. • Have all merchandise laid out the day before shoot, or fitting day. • Make sure all merchandise is organized in the way it needs to be shot. ie separated by group or month
Fittings/Photo Shoots • Assist stylist on all photo/video shoots wherever needed. If video/photo shoot is simultaneous, assistant stylist will be responsible for taking the lead on photo shoot and should be capable of assisting photographer when needed. • Taking pictures of each look on fitting day then printing out for layout of the shoot day. • Working with Photographer to make sure that every shot showcases the JF product. • Dress model, walk model to set, last looks and set in anytime that it’s needed. • Wrap day: separate all clothes, divide into sections by store, add up restock, bag up and get them ready for returns. • Assisting with any needs that the styling dept might need.
Assistant Stylist • Responsible for staying current and up to date with current seasonal fashion trends. • Responsible on researching celebrity trends. • Making trend boards for the stylist closet every season. • Responsible for attending and contributing in all brainstorming meeting for all photo shoots, video shoots and special projects. • Pulling and returning clothes. • Responsible for any run around for supplies, undergarments, etc. • Responsible for keeping styling closet up to date with supplies, updating calendar, keeping room clean and organized.
Skills: • Attention to detail and the ability to manage, track, and implement multiple high priority projects in a fast-paced environment • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills • Ability to think creatively, identify problems and offer solutions with minimal guidance • Ability to complete assignments within tight and often difficult deadlines • Ability to be five steps ahead of the game.
Requirements: • Full time corporate position • AA/BA preferred • Experience in the fashion industry a plus • High level attention to detail and organization • Strong project management skills
