At long last, the Queen can take her vacation: The second most important baby of 2013 has been born! Yes, after weeks of speculation, the Duchess formerly known as Kate Middleton has officially given birth to yet another heir to the throne. Cue a royal sigh of relief from those members of the media camped outside St. Mary's Hospital for the past nine months.
The baby, a boy weighing 8 lbs 6 ounces, entered into this paparazzi-filled universe around 4:24pm GMT today. Cool as a cucumber K-Mid never once spewed out a curse word or "You did this to me! Youuu!!!" at Prince William--well, none that we could hear in New York, anyway. No word on whether she was donning her trusty LK Bennetts during the delivery.
New dad Wills has reportedly taken two-weeks paternity leave to spend some private time (fancy that?) with his wife and progeny--and maybe to go shopping on the high street for some thrifty baby clothes. Which should give Kate plenty of time to decide which of her old clothes she's going to rewear in the coming months.
Bon voyage, Elizabeth!
