When we spotted this Autumn Cashmere sweater in a glossy last weekend, we felt a "pow!" of familiarity in our gut.
Last fall, 3.1 Phillip Lim put out a series of knits with comic book-inspired graphics as part of the pre-fall collection. They were spotted all over editors outside the tents at fashion week and on style blogs. Even Beyonce sported one in a photo she posted to her Instagram. It was such a hit that Lim made a different version of the sweater for his upcoming Target collaboration, which rings in just under $30.
Sure, Autumn Cashmere's sweater isn't quite as splashy as Lim's--and comic book graphics are hardly an original concept (the name Roy Lichtenstein comes to mind)--but we can't help but feel there was a least a little bit of inspiration there. So you could spend $341 on Autumn Cashmere's luxe cashmere version, or you can get the (sort-of) original for $29.99.
