Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen must have a large Scandinavian fan base (maybe because they're of Scandinavian descent), as the former child stars turned CFDA Award winners just launched a new line with Norwegian retailer Bik Bok.
It's the first of three collections for Bik Bok, which the Olsens are currently in Oslo to promote.
The Daily Mail pointed out how similar the twins looked, which, you know, isn't shocking. Granted, the sisters' style has veered in different directions as they've become adults who dress themselves--but perhaps they're growing more in sync style-wise.
Their collection, inspired by the "Scandinavian It Girl" and their own style, looks like stuff they'd both wear. “Ashley and I are thrilled with our Fall 2013 Bik Bok collaboration," Mary-Kate said in a release. "We feel the collection reflects our personal style and will connect with the Scandinavian girl.”
We think it connects to the American girl, too, and we kind of wish it were available here. With The Row far out of our price range, we could use some affordable Olsen style. Elizabeth & James is sometimes cute--but it's girlier and doesn't look like what our girls MK&A would actually wear.
Their Bik Bok stuff is kind of grungey and Saint Laurent-esque and features really nice-looking basics like soft tees, leather jackets, cropped trousers and boxy ribbed sweaters that range in price from about $30 to $600 USD.
The Norwegians seem to love it--some pieces have already sold out online. Can we start a petition to bring it here or something? Click through to see more of the look book starring Julia Nobis.
