Jill Stuart Spring 2014: She's Come Undone
There was something a little dangerous about Jill Stuart's girl this season--maybe it was the kohl-rimmed eyes or the extensive use of black leather, but she seemed like a woman wronged. (If anyone wants to hear it, I made up an entire backstory about a cheating boyfriend and a road trip to Mexico.)
There was next to no color on the runway; beyond black and white, there were a few denim pieces and some looks done in a denim blue shade. The shapes were easy but still sexy thanks to a liberal use of cut-outs and a lot of sheer fabrics. And sorry ladies--crop tops are still happening, so don't give up that gym membership just yet.
The flirty dresses--a Jill Stuart signature--were undoubtedly the highlights, but those white pieces with black embroidery were pretty great, too.
