Nothing makes our night quite like a Kanye West Twitter rant.
At around 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, Yeezus started an all-caps tirade against late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who made a spoof of his recent BBC Radio 1 interview by reenacting it with a couple of adorable children. West was clearly not amused, and he lashed out with a few fun-filled minutes of angry tweeting. Our favorites include:
@kanyewest: JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS
@kanyewest: SHOULD I DO A SPOOF ABOUT YOUR FACE OR YOU FUCKING BEN AFFLECK…#NODISRESPECTTOBENAFFLECK #ALLDISRESPECTTOJIMMYKIMMEL!!!!
The interview in question features the rapper name-dropping Anna Wintour and recounting an instance six years ago when he and his creative director Virgil Abloh had their designs for leather jogging pants shot down by Italian label Fendi. We know West takes himself very seriously, but it's hard not to crack up watching a kid shouting about culture and high fashion—while drinking a milkshake.
We wonder what Kimmel will have to say after West makes his triumphant return to Paris Fashion Week to show his eponymous collection, which according to Vogue UK, will boast former Balmain creative director Christophe Decarnin as head designer. (Young Olivier Rousteing replaced Decarnin at the French design house in 2011.)
Kimmel addressed the fight in his opening monologue last night, saying, "I've always wanted to be in a rap feud!" Watch the clip that launched the rant below, and Jimmy, leather jogging pants seem impractical to us, too. #NODISRESPECTTOBENAFFLECK
