Amidst the hectic, sleep-deprived eight days of fashion week, it's easy to forget that a whole world exists outside of New York. Then out of nowhere, BAM! Kate Middleton shows up at an event in London wearing what's without a doubt her sparkliest, fanciest dress to date and it's like... oh yeah.
This evening (yes, it's already nighttime in England), the Duchess made her first formal, post-pregnancy appearance alongside Prince William at the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards at the Royal Society in London, which we assume has something to do with helping elephants. Wills donned a tux, while Kate, looking slim and prim as ever--Prince George, who? (Kidding! We kid.)--wore a sequin-covered, silvery-gold Jenny Packham gown with a sheer back panel. According to Us Weekly, the dress was a custom job costing around $6,300--so even if more of these dresses existed, you probably couldn't afford one, anyway.
And from the looks of it, the D.O.C. doesn't seem to be experiencing any of the beauty blunders many new moms mums are wont to have: Has her hair ever been shinier? Her bum, more pert? "Kate's still breastfeeding, and the small weight she gained while pregnant has just melted off," a source with way way TMI told Us. "She's not dieting."
