Our favorite designer/muse duo is teaming up again!
Sofia Coppola, who has been a friend, inspiration, model, and collaborator to Marc Jacobs since the early days, will once again partner up with the designer on an upcoming ad campaign.
More than 10 years after her first (topless) modeling gig for Jacobs's namesake perfume, WWD is reporting Coppola will star in the next TV commercial for his Daisy fragrance. And perhaps she'll direct it as well? The trade was short on details.
She follows up models Frida Gustavsson and Hannah Holman and, before that, the aptly named Daisy Lowe. Coppola, then, is a bit of a departure from those previous Daisy gals seeing as she's a bit older and, well... not a model.
All we know is Coppola + Jacobs + Juergen Teller turned out to be a combo made in heaven back in 2002, and we can't wait to see it happen again.
UPDATE: Marc Jacobs, as well as a rep from Coty (who produce and distribute MJ fragrances) have confirmed that Coppola will indeed direct the next Daisy commercial. The news was announced on the Marc Jacobs Facebook page. However, her role will remain behind the scenes as she will not be starring in it, the rep clarified. Kind of a bummer.
