If the designers of Paris Fashion Week are trying to tell us something this season, they're certainly taking a very literal approach. Printed, embroidered, and knit words and slogans are showing up everywhere this week. Intarsia knit at Céline and glow-in-the-dark anagrams at Undercover are just a couple examples. Meanwhile, Kenzo has reworked its popular street style item, the statement sweater, with an environmental slant, via a collaboration with The Blue Marine Foundation. Brand name t-shirts are simply not enough anymore, it would seem. Not when you can choose a dress from Christian Dior which exclaims "hyperrealness in the daytime." That's a much better conversation starter, don't you think?
