There was something about Gucci's black silk and tulle LBD from the Italian label's Spring 2013 collection that really resonated with us when it walked the runway in Milan last fall. The honeycomb netting, the romantic puff sleeves paired with a mod shift silhouette--it had all the makings of a must-have. And apparently we (and Emma Stone, who wore the piece to a premiere this past February) weren't the only ones who thought so.
While perusing the Internets this weekend, we came across an alarmingly similar-looking dress being sold on Pixie Market's site. The "Bella Babydoll Dress" (it should be noted that bella means 'beautiful' in Italian--coincidence? Doubtful.) is made of chiffon and organza in a "beehive pattern" and goes for $64--pennies compared to Gucci's $2,850 version.
Is Pixie Market in the wrong, or is the site doing us all a favor by bringing an element of high fashion to the masses? Let us know what you think.
