We officially have our first on-stage rant from Kanye West's Yeezus Tour, which has been going for about five days--not that those days haven't been eventful. He's already proposed to Kim Kardashian, opened up a pop-up shop right next to her family's store, Dash, in Los Angeles, and worn an assortment of custom Margiela looks--including full face masks.
One of which he donned to speak from the heart about several topics, including fashion, on stage in Las Vegas Saturday night.
He brings up that Tommy Ton photo of him and his friends at Paris Fashion Week, which later got re-created as a cartoon in an episode of South Park, saying it cost him $27,000 to fly those people out, and that it was way before "Givenchy was going to the hood."
He also gives further insight into the types of racism laid out in his song "New Slaves," and how what he's saying in the song relates to the current Barneys debacle. Based on the rant, he seems to be of the opinion that Barneys was being racist, while his friend Jay Z recently released a more detailed and articulate statement.
