As Bollare continues to grow we have a great opportunity and are looking to bring on a standout publicist for our NY based Menswear Editorial Team.
We're looking for someone with approximately 2 years experience on the PR side of menswear editorial, with an understanding of the process, passion for results, and network within the space direct to media outlets. As well as a robust press book with his/her press placements which they can effectively walk through both point of contact utilized to achieve the press as well as why it was of benefit to the client.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in PR, Communications, or Journalism and will be responsible for 6+ accounts in addition to providing support to the team and to designated accounts producing consistent press to deliver on each account’s press plan.
Skills and Responsibilities: • 2 years experience in the menswear space • Ability to participate in meetings and conference calls • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and juggle multiple assignments and changing priorities • Ability to work independently, meeting goals and deadlines with moderate supervision • Build and maintain media relationships • Communicate with clients on day-to-day needs (i.e. samples, pull requests, credit requests, etc.) • Create constant stream of pitch angles based on industry trends and client initiatives • Create lists and develop databases • Demonstrate strong ability to pitch and write press materials • Depth of relationships with market editors at national monthly magazines • Display exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Execute strategy in place to deliver on account goals • Experience with collection preview days • Experienced in multi-tasking and effectively pitching 6+ clients at a time • Manage product inventory and sample inventory • Multitask across multiple client accounts and projects under deadline • Secure media coverage with both item and feature placements • Show proactivity, resourcefulness and tenacity in problem solving • Weekly and monthly client reporting
Representing Bollare • Attend industry events on behalf of Bollare Communication to increase Bollare presence at key events • Communicate with and provide positive feedback to Bollare clients via Facebook and Twitter • Engage with both the LA and NYC office as a team player • Handle all aspects of job at a highly sophisticated image level including social media channels • Participate in Bollare Communications social media network
