Company Description: Diesel is a global brand known for its denim and innovative advertising. Our Chelsea-based office is the corporate home base for the brand’s US business, including the marketing and public relations for all US projects and portions of global campaigns.
Job Description: As an intern, you will assist the marketing department as needed and be an active participant in the Diesel team. This is an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in the business of fashion and who are looking to gain experience in multiple aspects of the brand’s marketing efforts. The person who fills the role will gain valuable insight into Diesel’s presence marketing, retail/wholesale marketing, social and digital marketing and media planning efforts.
Responsibilities include: • Help manage guests lists and RSVPs for presence marketing events • Research and provide support for emerging projects and events. This can include fashion show prep and fashion week assistance, brainstorming ideas for integrated projects, etc… • Assist with the organization and execution of off-site events, including set up and break down • Assist in the development of engaging and compelling content for Diesel’s social media channels • Help monitor and report on the results of online influencer seedings • Responsible for creating expense reports for senior team members • Assist in administrative tasks such as mailings, collecting and delivering marketing department mail from the mailroom • Scan relevant fashion business news sites to share current industry news with the rest of the team
Necessary Skills & Qualifications: • Able to earn school credit at a US accredited college or graduate school • Able to dedicate a minimum of 16 hours a week • Strong interest in fashion • Prior experience with Word & Excel • Strong communication and time management skills • Positive attitude and desire to learn • Proactive, self-starter • Organized and detail-oriented • Strong interest in fashion • Knowledge of Lotus Notes a plus • Prior administrative experience a plus
