It hasn't even been a full week since Isabel Marant x H&M just went on sale (and sold out), but we've already moved on to the next massive collaboration: Meadham Kirchhoff x Topshop! And what do you know, we've got the first images of the 89-piece collection to share with you lovely folks. And you thought your Tuesday couldn't get any better.
"The [collection's] overall aesthetic was influenced by Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids, Kembra Pfahler and glam rock," Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff said in a statement. "It is an enormous and all encompassing collection which will offer a myriad of choice for any customer to adapt or reject as they see fit." Together, those influences inspired a fictional '80s glam rock band called The Cherrys, which served as the basis of Meadham Kirchhoff x Topshop.
"The Cherrys is a girl group made up of four characters -- each have a different personality and look," said Kate Phelan, Topshop's creative director. "Their clothes describe their characters. You can wear the whole look or take your favorite pieces and mix it up."
It's a mix, alright: The line is just as kooky, quirky, and colorful as you'd expect from the London-based design duo, with a healthy dose of WTF mixed in. Peep the glitter googly-eyed monster booties, Rainbow Brite sequin pumps, fur-and-star-embellished coat and rainbow patchwork pentagram separates. But there's a lot of prettiness, too. We're a little in love with the lacy powder pink slip dress, shiny red slicker jacket, cherry-printed blouse and navy eyeball print dress -- it's just the right balance of cute and creepy.
The line goes on sale at Topshop on Nov. 21. Prices range from $8 for socks to $1200 for a Mongolian jacket. Click through for a peek at Meadham Kirchhoff x Topshop.
