You know how fashion editors feel about artfully piling on bracelets and bangles, and one of the most popular additions to their arsenals as of late is the Nike+ FuelBand. If you're not familiar with the gadget, it keeps track of the calories you burn and the steps you take each day and tallies them as "fuel points," which are designed to motivate you to reach your fitness goals. Full disclosure: I have one, and it's awesome. Also, kind of addicting.
Some of the our favorite faces in the industry sport their FuelBands on the regular -- Lucky's Eva Chen and Teen Vogue's Andrew Bevan come to mind -- but despite the band's sleek design, it doesn't exactly fit in with many of their day-to-day jewelry choices. Nike took that to mind, and is introducing a rose gold-colored version in November.
This is the first release in the FuelBand's new "Metaluxe" collection, and the polished stainless steel clasp is inspired by luxury timepieces. As you can see above, the shiny piece fits perfectly into an accessory-centered street style shot, so we're betting the fashion pack will be clamoring to get their hands on this limited-edition release. Plus, wearable tech is on the rise, with companies like Google and Jawbone making huge impressions at New York Fashion Week last season.
The rose gold FuelBand will retail for $169 and hits Nike.com on Nov. 21, just in time for the holidays -- and the inevitable "get in shape" New Year's resolutions that follow. Sounds like a win-win to us.
