Vogue's January 2014 cover, revealed Monday, may have been a bit of a snoozefest -- but don't worry, ladies! Fellow Condé title Allure is here to save the day with its new issue and its stunning STUNNING cover girl, actress-cum-lingerie designer Penelope Cruz.
Photographed by Mario Testino (with makeup by Charlotte Tilbury), the shoot sees the 39-year-old Lancôme spokesmodel looking tan, freckled and sultry with a perfectly tousled bob, smoldering, smoky eyes and a round cut diamond ring. Basically, the entire cover is just her face and part of her hand, and I cannot, for the life of me, stop staring at it. I want to take a vacation somewhere among Penelope Cruz's glorious Spanish freckles and turn it into a permanent hiatus. The city of Madrid should seriously consider hiring her to its tourism bureau. Planet Earth should do the same.
It may only be December, but I already feel fairly confident that this going to be one of the most gorgeous covers of 2014. Head over to Allure for more photos from the spread -- and get tips on how to recreate Cruz's flawless Dolce Vita look.
