The story arc of Allison Williams' character Marnie Michaels on the upcoming season of HBO's Girls might not be so optimistic -- her longtime love Charlie is totally out of the picture, her friendship with her BFF Hannah is strained and her career prospects are few and far between -- but the actress's new cover story for the February issue of InStyle UK is positively sunny.
Williams is no stranger to a magazine cover these days -- she's also on Glamour Mexico's Jan. 2014 issue and she appeared on the covers of Town and Country and Company in 2013. For InStyle, Williams models a sampling of spring's best styles, including pastel pieces from Burberry, Michael Kors and Isabel Marant.
The elegant, ladylike styling of the shoot is in line with the image Williams seems to be going for, as well as her character's persona. We don't know about you, but we're just as intrigued by the trajectory of Williams' fashion profile as we are by Marnie's upcoming storyline.
