Daria Werbowy is all over the Spring 2014 campaigns -- she already has Céline, Ferragamo and Mango under her belt -- and now she's booked another big one: Balenciaga. The supermodel -- who scored a rare American Harper's Bazaar cover for February -- had a runway exclusive at Balenciaga's show in September, and her first ad for the fashion house (above) debuted today in WWD.
Shot by Steven Klein, Werbowy showcases Balenciaga's structural outerwear and dresses in the moody campaign. What really caught our eye, though, is the beauty look: With makeup by Diane Kendal and hair by Paul Hanlon, the bold berry lip and slicked-back white hair -- in addition to the sprawling ivy -- add “a touch of mystery and dark attraction,” according to Wang. Personally, they remind us of Tamara de Lempicka's art deco portraits with their crisp lines and high-contrast tones, lit to make her subjects' skin look like molded plastic.
The full campaign is set to officially debut online and in magazines next month, but a couple of the images have already made their way online (see below).
