Are you a passionate about fashion and e-commerce? Do you eat, sleep and breathe social media? Fashion resale site, thredUP.com, is seeking a savvy, creative social media manager to play an active role in building the thredUP brand online. This person will engage with our shopping community across all social channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest and our company blog. He or she will work closely with Marketing, Merchandising and Product teams at thredUP.
Responsibilities: • Create and execute a social media strategy to engage and delight our community while also growing our presence across all major social media channels • Manage day-to-day reactive and proactive communications on all key social media channels • Work with the Marketing and Merchandising teams to amplify campaigns and content across the social media platform • Develop and run monthly social media campaigns to increase engagement, sharing and content creation from our community
The Ideal Candidate: • BA in English, Comparative Literature, Communications or related major; recent graduates encouraged to apply • Power user of social media in professional and personal life; you should live and breath this stuff and have active profiles on all the major networks • Excellent copywriting skills, quick wit and ability to channel the thredUP tone and brand into social media content • Strong individual contributor and team player. This role will require you to work on your own but will also collaborate heavily with the Marketing, Merchandising, • Customer Support and Product teams • Knowledgeable about fashion and enthusiastic about fashion resale; fashion retail or e-commerce experience is preferred • Passionate about thredUP and our mission to disrupt an industry and build a household brand
Compensation: thredUP provides a competitive compensation package that includes base salary, healthcare, and stock options. Total package depends on experience.
