While Prabal Gurung has released beautiful ad campaigns in seasons past -- starring the likes of Candice Swanepoel, Joan Smalls and Julia Saner -- none have them have ever gone to print. That's changing for Spring 2014, and the designer, who's been a champion of online-only campaigns, just revealed his first print ads in WWD.
Shot by Dan Jackson and styled by Gurung's longtime collaborator Tina Laakkonen, the campaign stars model Liya Kebede and features a futuristic piece from the designer's standout spring collection. Gurung didn't go entirely old-school, however: The designer teased the campaign with a mysterious video of a burning rose on Instagram and slowly revealed the campaign star through a series of tweets.
Gurung is also the creative director at Japanese label iCB, which likewise released its Spring 2014 campaign this week. Starring his muse Joan Smalls and shot again by Jackson, it's clear that the designer keeps his core team close to his heart. You can see the iCB campaign below.
