A lot of people thought Prada's spring 2014 ad looked like a (bizarrely ornate and arty) class portrait. The campaign's just-released video reveals that Malaika Firth, Amanda Murphy, et al were actually looking at more than just a camera.
The models act as spectators in various scenarios. As Prada put it in its press release: "The spectators become the spectacle…From the tennis, to the cinema, at the concert, the playful participants upstage the show wherever they go."
Still, like the print campaign, the Steven Meisel-shot video features little more than a group of models in Prada's bold spring 2014 collection, accompanied by some sound effects and small props, which means it calls on the models' acting skills and the clothes themselves to hold our attention -- and both parties succeeded. The film is just as awesomely mesmerizing as we've come to expect from Prada's campaign videos.
We're pretty sure no one's made watching tennis look so chic since Anna Wintour. Watch above.
