Pinstripes are ruling my life right now. I don't know what it is, but lately I've been absolutely fixated on how elegant and classic they are.
And while recently perusing The Line at work, as one does, I stumbled upon this wonderful top by Protagonist. Designer Kate Wendelborn has taken my preoccupation with the pattern to a whole new level by splashing it across one beauty of a silhouette -- the dropped shoulders, the angled seams, the deconstructed turtleneck...I suppose this is one of those moments when fashion people less articulate than I say, "I just can't even." (Who am I kidding? I really and truly just. Can't. Even.)
I'm already concocting outfits around it in my head -- faded jeans and black oxfords, definitely, black silk shantung cropped pants and white leather sneakers, perhaps. The versatility is key, though, as if I'm going to shell out so much money for anything other than an accessory, I better be able to wear it a million times. And I shall.
Protagonist cashmere pullover, $470, available exclusively at The Line.
