Get to Know the New Ladies Behind Marc by Marc Jacobs

Watch Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley explain where they were coming from with the fresh look of "MBMJ."

The Marc by Marc Jacobs (which will reportedly henceforth be known as MBMJ) girl got a rebellious makeover for fall 2014, and that's because the label has two new ladies at the helm.

Well, "new" might be the wrong word: Katie Hillier, MBMJ's creative director, has had a decade-long career as a creative consultant and accessories designer, and Luella Bartley, the brand's design director, has somewhat of a cult following among the fashion set for her previous work and eponymous label Luella, which shuttered in 2009.

The duo's aim this season was to inject some attitude back into the designs and to tell a unique story through the collection. With the skate park-esque set, the booming soundtrack and the killer casting, we'd say that their first outing at MBMJ did just that.
