For years, we've been regaled with stories of Kristen Stewart and Nicolas Ghesquière's mutual lovefest: Her admission that she "would have done anything with [the designer]" when he asked her to front Balenciaga's Florabotanica campaign, her promise to "totally run away" with him when he left his post at the French fashion house, eventually moving on to Louis Vuitton.
Now, via the March issue of Marie Claire, we're learning even more beautiful, romantic details of the fashion affair (and just in time for Valentine's day -- dawww). It all started when she was just a stubborn young girl...
"I did a photo shoot with Bruce Weber when I was 14 for Interview magazine," she tells MC. "I met Nicolas Ghesquière. I was blown away -- fashion became less superficial in my eyes, though it wasn't my thing."
Time passed, seasons came and went. Stewart matured, and with her burgeoning womanhood came a new appreciation for the finer things in life -- things like Nicolas Ghesquière.
"A couple of years later, he called me up," recalls Stewart, presumably with a far-away look in her eyes. "He had stuck out [to me] as an artist. Fashion has the best and worst people. The gems stick out."
And then, composing herself once more: "He was a designer I wanted to be around. He was so creative. If I have to walk red carpets, if I have to be in fashion..." She exhales. "Then I want to be with him."
