If you were an avid watcher of "The Rachel Zoe Project," the reality show based on the celebrity stylist and designer's everyday life, you already know that Zoe often takes on more work than was seemingly possible for her and her small team. Between running her namesake label, building an online media company, various brand partnerships and raising two small children -- her son Kaius Jagger Berman was just born in December -- viewers were often left wondering how she kept it all together.
With New York Fashion Week just days away, Zoe was forced to let something go. According to WWD, she has decided to cancel her runway show during this season, which will be the first time she'll be absent from the calendar since she started showing in New York in Feb. 2011. The designer said in a statement:
“While I look forward to New York Fashion Week each season, I’ve made the difficult decision to move our fall 2014 runway show from Feb. 13 in New York to a later date in Los Angeles. As a new mother, my newborn son is too young to travel with me and I’m unable to leave him for the amount of time required to appropriately prepare for the show in New York."
WWD also reports that Zoe's market week in New York will take place as planned, and that she will be back on the New York Fashion Week calendar as usual next season. Zoe has her aesthetic down pat, and you can expect to see '60s-inspired bohemian looks in her Fall 2014 collection.
We've reached out to Rachel Zoe's team for confirmation and will update as we hear more.
