Last night's episode of "Girls" was certainly far more eventful than the one prior. There were some stylish peripheral cast members (Soojin and Dot), a crazy disguise and what may be Shoshanna's craziest braided hairstyle yet (we know we keep bringing these up, but, seriously, what is going on there?).
Read on for our full fashion recap.
Hannah's and Elijah's Bandana Party Someone must have cut out the scene where Hannah and Elijah raid Shoshanna's bandana collection. They look pretty crazy -- especially Hannah, who thought to pair pink zebra stripe with lime green in a look that somehow makes her look 20 years older than she is. At the same time, we were actually pretty into her sparkly coconut earrings.
Soojin, the Hipster Gallery Owner First of all, while that "Opening Cemetery" line was hilarious, we have to call out "Girls" on a consistency misstep: A couple of weeks ago, Soojin said her gallery was in NoHo, but the space, if adjacent to Opening Ceremony on Howard Street, would actually be in SoHo.
Regardless, we love Soojin, and hope Marni gets this humiliating assistant job so that we can see more of her and her perfect hipster gallery owner slash electronic musician outfits.
Felicity Jones as Dot Despite her incessant sneezing and gross rash, which we didn't really understand the point of, Dot, played by super cute British actress Felicity Jones, looked adorable in her keyhole blouse and high-waisted skirt. That said, seeing her made us even more creeped out by Rupert E. Grant's character and his infatuation with Jessa (and cocaine).
Shoshanna's Crazy Hair This must be the point in the season where the insanity of Shoshanna's hairstyles begins to escalate. I mean what is even happening here? Cornrows AND a bouffant? This has to be some kind of inside joke amongst the cast and crew, right?
Jessa, the Cool-Looking Junky Is it bad that even though Jessa is clearly hitting rock bottom, we think she looked really cool this whole episode? Sigh. Don't do drugs, though!
Hannah's Confounding Lingerie/Disguise Hannah's role playing scene at the bar with Adam was probably one of the funniest scenes in "Girls" history, made even funnier, somehow, by her blonde wig.
We aren't sure what to say about her puzzlingly complicated lingerie get-up (which we're also sorry for re-posting here), except that we think it's hilarious (and relatable) that she wore normal underwear underneath it.
