So it seemed a bit surprising that someone associated with such high-end brands would collaborate with a fast fashion retailer. But just last fall, De la Fressange announced that she would produce a collection with the company, saying that she was "very flattered."
"I've known Uniqlo for a long time, I love it and I often go shopping there," she says in the video below.
We've been wondering ever since the announcement what the collection would look like, and as it turns out, it's every bit as adorable and Parisian as De la Fressange herself. There are plenty of great basics -- Uniqlo's bread and butter -- like chic, color-blocked button-downs and simple khaki pants. But there are also beautifully patterned scarves, interesting hats and a quintessential shirtdress.
A cute fact about the line: De la Fressange tells The Telegraph that each piece has a bit of red on it, either sewn on a button or running through a scarf. The red represents her Légion d'Honneur. "I always forget to put it on and so it's there," she says.
Inès de la Fressange for Uniqlo is available for preview now on Uniqlo's website; the line will hit stores and online starting Mar. 17. Prices start at $12.90 and go up to $129.90.
