Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Finally Get Their Vogue Cover

Their last names didn't even make the cut. #iconstatus

You guys, it's happened. The months of rumors that Kanye West was courting Anna Wintour to get his fiancee Kim Kardashian a Vogue cover have proven to be true, and the couple is featured on the magazine's April cover.

In a beautiful series of portraits by Annie Leibovitz, Kardashian models a number of very wedding-appropriate white gowns, while West looks like his usual too-cool self in leather pants, tight tees and tailored outerwear. But the real kicker is how taken West looks by her beauty throughout -- it's truly heartwarming. Oh! And North was there, too, in adorable white dresses that pretty much prove that she'll be the cutest flower girl there ever was.

Watch the "Bound 2"-esque behind-the-scenes video below. So many awww!s.

Update: Lanvin designed the dress Kardashian wears on the cover, a spokesperson for Lanvin confirmed.

Update #2: Anna Wintour defended the cover choice in her editor's letter, and denied reports that West was pressuring her for a cover (hat tip: Us Weekly):

"Part of the pleasure of editing Vogue, one that lies in a long tradition of this magazine, is being able to feature those who define the culture at any given moment, who stir things up, whose presence in the world shapes the way it looks and influences the way we see it. I think we can all agree on the fact that that role is currently being played by Kim and Kanye to a T. (Or perhaps that should be to a K?)"

"As for the cover, my opinion is that it is both charming and touching, and it was, I should add, entirely our idea to do it; you may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancee on Vogue's cover. He did nothing of the sort. The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isn't true."
