First Look: Rebekka Bay's Second Collection for Gap

It's even more minimalist than the first.

Gap's new(ish) creative director, Rebekka Bay, is out with her second collection for Gap following her design debut this spring.

The summer collection, which we're giving you an exclusive first look at, travels further along the pared-back and minimalist direction we saw for spring. There is a big indigo denim story: cut-off shorts, dresses, button-down shirts, jackets (including a cool vintage-looking hooded one) and patchwork jeans make up about half the collection. And white makes up most of the rest, including an easy, white denim skirt; a sporty white dress with a mesh top half and a cool-looking, sculptural tank.

In other words, this collection, which will start rolling out May 1, seems to perfectly exemplify what Bay wants to do with Gap: It's an assortment of simple, versatile wardrobe-building blocks that will (hopefully for Gap) appeal to a broad array of people.
