The designers that mass retailer Target taps for collaborations never fail to impress us. Following up on recent capsules by Peter Pilotto, Phillip Lim and Jason Wu, Target announced Thursday that the next partnership will be with Joseph Altuzarra, who will create a limited-edition collection of ready-to-wear and accessories for women that hits stores this fall.
The 50-piece collection will range in price from $17.99 to $89.99 for apparel, and $29.99 to $79.99 for shoes and accessories. It will be available for purchase at most Target stores and target.com, with a selection of pieces for sale on Net-a-Porter.com.
Much like the recently announced Alexander Wang for H&M collaboration, this is one that we expect fashion people to get really excited about. Altuzarra is one of the most buzzed-about brands in New York—and hottest tickets during Fashion Week—with tastemakers like Vanessa Traina, Carine Roitfeld and Kate Lanphear showing him major support each season. He's also won a number of prestigious design awards, including the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award in 2011 and the CFDA Swarovski Award for Womenswear Design in 2012.
The Altuzarra for Target line drops on Sept. 14, just in time for Fashion Week.
