Over the past couple of months, friends, family and members of the fashion community joined the search to find Jay Ott, a Brooklyn-based fashion designer who went missing from his Bushwick home on March 24. That search has come to a sad end: According to the AP, Ott's body was found in the water off of Pier 4 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn on Thursday morning.
According to most recent reports, Ott's initial autopsy was inconclusive and examiners will perform additional tests to confirm the cause of death. However, police do not expect foul play.
Ott was most recently employed as a designer at the Dock Group, working on a couple of brands under the firm's portfolio. Before that, he worked at The Row and J. Mendel.
