Now, according to the website of Russian perfumery L'Ètoile, Galliano is back. He has reportedly been tapped to serve as creative director for the brand's in-house line of cosmetics. (Our sources tell us that L'Ètoile is something like a Sephora, which according to The Moscow Times has nearly 850 doors.)
Galliano has been mostly absent from the fashion scene since he was fired from Dior and his eponymous line for making anti-Semetic comments in 2011. He assisted in the styling of Oscar de la Renta's Fall 2013 collection but has not had a major role in the industry since.
A representative for L'Ètoile has not responded; we will update if we hear back.
