POSITION: - The Influence is seeking a full-time Fashion Market Assistant. As The Influence continues to innovate in the merging of commerce and content, the Fashion Market Assistant will play a pivotal role in shaping the editorial strategy and revenue performance of our fashion editorial section. This person will take a hands-on approach in curating products for shopping stories as well as feature editorial stories. This position works closely with our Fashion Market Director and advertising teams. This has potential to be a full-time position and is located in Los Angeles, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Work with the Fashion Market Director and editorial team to curate products and create content for The Influence’s fashion editorial slideshows and features – Produce with Fashion Market Director and editorial team, original fashion content for the site. – Request and organize lookbooks for each season. – Assist on set during editorial shoots and create and maintain credit documents for all products featured. – Keep up to date on relevant fashion news and product launches.
REQUIREMENTS: - 1 + years of fashion market experience with an e-commerce site or brand. - Editorial experience at a print or digital magazine is preferred. - The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong communications skills and understanding of how the e-commerce landscape, digital platforms and blogosphere connect. - Must exhibit a strong taste level and the ability to discriminatingly edit an assortment of product from both an editorial and business prospective. - Ability to understand product trends and have the ability to creatively translate them into online content.

FASHION, PHOTO, EDITORIAL, DESIGN AND SOCIAL MEDIA INTERNS: Responsible for staying current and up to date with current seasonal fashion trends -Responsible for researching celebrity trends - Making trend boards for the stylist closet every season and requesting lookbooks for each season - Responsible for attending and contributing in all editorial meetings for photo shoots, video shoots and special projects - Responsible for keeping office up to date with supplies, updating editorial calendar, keeping room clean and organized.
SKILLS: - Attention to detail and the ability to manage, track, and implement multiple high priority projects in a fast-paced environment - Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills - Ability to think creatively, identify problems and offer solutions with minimal guidance - Ability to complete assignments within tight and often difficult deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS: - Full time and Part Time position – Students must be currently enrolled in an accredited college and or university - Experience in the fashion industry is a plus – Must be detail-oriented and highly organized – Must have management skills and a strong work ethic.
