Since she emerged on the music scene, the fashion world has had a collective style crush on British songstress Rita Ora. From her signature look of elevated streetwear to her fearlessness (sometimes to a fault) on the red carpet, she's won the admiration of designers like Jeremy Scott, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Donna Karan, for whom Ora walked the runway last season. Her high fashion friends must have rubbed off on her, because now Ora has taken on a design project of her own.
The singer has signed on with Adidas Originals to design a series of collections though fall 2015. First reported by WWD, Ora's collaboration with the brand will run for three seasons, with the first delivery due in August. Remarkably, Ora is the first female musical artist that Adidas has collaborated with.
The collaboration includes five separate capsule collections with different themes, and will feature classic items like sneakers, hoodies, track pants, varsity jackets and beanies, all with Ora's personal twist.
Ora's partnership with Adidas comes on the heels of the announcements that the brand will launch collections with Pharrell Williams and Mary Katrantzou in the coming months. The Rita Ora line will be available at Adidas Originals stores and at adidas.com beginning on Aug. 21.
