Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, one of the masterminds behind Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week’s transition from Bryant Park to Lincoln Center, has resigned from her position as IMG's fashion consultant after five years, according to Page Six.
According to the report, Wolkoff, who was handpicked by Anna Wintour to manage the bi-annual event, chose not to renew her contract before William Morris Endeavor’s buyout of IMG was completed. A source close to the situation tells us that Wolkoff's contract expired in February, and IMG will not be immediately replacing her, as its in-house team splits many of her duties.
During her time at IMG, which began in 2009, Wolkoff helped to orchestrate Lincoln Center's corporate sponsorships and worked to make Fashion Week less exclusive by introducing events that are open to the public. Before joining the team at IMG, she was the director of special events at Vogue for over a decade.
