It's been a while since we've heard any new details on the cat bra-filled enigma that is to be Alexa Chung's clothing line, but fans of the quintessential Brit It-girl should be pleased with this tidbit:
According to WWD (subscription required), Chung has collaborated with AG Adriano Goldschmied on at least two denim collections through fall 2015. (A spokesperson for the company did not immediately respond to our request to confirm the announcement.) The initial 20-piece line, which will retail for $70 to $300 a pop, is, according to Chung, comprised of "the missing pieces of [her] dream denim wardrobe." (No word on whether that includes denim cat bras.)
Along with jeans, expect overalls, denim dresses, a shrunken denim jacket, tees, a sweatshirt, high-waisted, non-bum-showing booty shorts and blouses in a palette of pale pink, cream, rusty red and washed army green. Inspirations include the late '60s and early '70s, with a little Chanel and '90s-era Versace thrown in.
The Chungster's been going a bit collabo-crazy lately, having done beauty partnerships with both Eyeko and Nails Inc. in the past several months -- but this is her first straight-up fashion deal since working with Madewell in 2011. And if this AG collection is even half as perfect as that one was... there's no doubt it'll be flying off the shelves when it debuts this January.
